مَتَىwhen أَرَىI see الحَقَّtruth فَوْقَabove باطِلِهِمْtheir falsehood
مَتَى أَرَى الحَقَّ فَوْقَ باطِلِهِمْ
وقَدْand already تَبَدَّلَhave been exchanged صَوْلاتٌonslaughts بِصَوْلاتِfor onslaughts
وقَدْ تَبَدَّلَ صَوْلاتٌ بِصَوْلاتِ
When shall I see truth above their falsehood,
When will I see the truth triumph over their falsehood,
And onslaughts exchanged for onslaughts,
Now that eras have alternated with eras?
ويُنْشَدُand is sought العَدْلُjustice فيin أَمْنٍsafety وفيand in دَعَةٍease
ويُنْشَدُ العَدْلُ في أَمْنٍ وفي دَعَةٍ
دَوْلاتُهُمْtheir turns of power قَدْalready تَقَضَّتْhave ended عِنْدَat دَوَلاتيmy turns of power
دَوْلاتُهُمْ قَدْ تَقَضَّتْ عِنْدَ دَوَلاتي
And justice sought in safety and ease?
Justice is chanted in safety and leisure,
Their turns of power have ended with the coming of mine.
While their dynasties have come to an end at my dynasties.
أَوْقَاتُهُمْtheir days ذَهَبَتْpassed فيin غَيْرِother than مَكْرُمَةٍa noble deed
أَوْقَاتُهُمْ ذَهَبَتْ في غَيْرِ مَكْرُمَةٍ
فاسْتَبْشرواso rejoice قَدْalready أَتَاكُمْhas come to you طِيبُthe goodness of أَوْقاتِيmy days
فاسْتَبْشروا قَدْ أَتَاكُمْ طِيبُ أَوْقاتِي
Their days passed without a noble deed.
Their times have passed without glory,
So rejoice: the goodness of my days has come to you.
So rejoice, for the best of my times has come to you.
