إنّ مَنْ تُرْضَى خلائِقُهُ

إنّ مَنْ تُرْضَى خلائِقُهُ

باتّفاقِ الْخَلْقِ ما خُلِقا

باتّفاقِ الْخَلْقِ ما خُلِقا

Indeed, one whose character wins approval

Whoever's nature pleases people

from all people unanimously has never been created.

Was not created for creation's harmony

فاصْطَبِرْ للذَّمِّ مِنْ حَمِقٍ

فاصْطَبِرْ للذَّمِّ مِنْ حَمِقٍ

فَعَدُوُّ العاقِلِ الْحُمَقَا

فَعَدُوُّ العاقِلِ الْحُمَقَا

So patiently endure reproach from a fool;

So be patient with the fool's dispraise

for fools are the wise person's enemy.

For the rational person's foe is foolishness
