طالَhas grown long صَبْرِيmy patience فَمَتىso when إسْعادُهاher bringing joy
طالَ صَبْرِي فَمَتى إسْعادُها
أَنْحَلَتْshe has wasted away جِسْميmy body بوَعْدٍwith a promise بعْدَafter وَعْدِa promise
أَنْحَلَتْ جِسْمي بوَعْدٍ بعْدَ وَعْدِ
Long has my patience lasted; when will she bring me joy?
My patience is long, so when will her happiness be mine?
She has wasted my body away with promise after promise.
My body is melting from a promise after a promise.

Stand by the valley and call out aloud:
Stand on the valley and call out loudly,
O my people, depart! My strength is spent.
"Oh my people, move on for my strength is exhausted."
