أَفعالُكُمْ واعظةٌ

أَفعالُكُمْ واعظةٌ

ولي بها تيقُّظُ

ولي بها تيقُّظُ

Your deeds offer admonition,

Your actions are preaching

and through them I am awakened.

With it I become vigilant

إنّ اللَّبيبَ مَنْ غَدا

إنّ اللَّبيبَ مَنْ غَدا

بغيرِه يتَّعِظُ

بغيرِه يتَّعِظُ

Indeed, the wise person is one who has come

Indeed the wise man who tomorrow

to take heed from another.
