وَعَدتَyou promised بِتَشريفيto honor me وَأُنسand the joy of مَنازليmy dwellings
وَعَدتَ بِتَشريفي وَأُنس مَنازلي
وَوَعدُand the promise of الفتىthe young man دَيْنٌa debt بِدونِwithout تَوقّفِdelay
وَوَعدُ الفتى دَيْنٌ بِدونِ تَوقّفِ
You promised to honor me and bring joy to my dwellings.
You promised to honor me and delight my home,
And a young man's promise is a debt owed without delay.
And a young man's promise is a debt to be promptly paid.
وَإِنّيand indeed I اِمرُؤٌa man لِلوَعدِregarding the promise أَعلىforemost مطالبٍclaimant
وَإِنّي اِمرُؤٌ لِلوَعدِ أَعلى مطالبٍ
وَأَنتand you اِمرُؤٌa man فيin الدّهرall time أَكبرُthe greatest مَنْone who يفيkeeps his word
وَأَنت اِمرُؤٌ في الدّهر أَكبرُ مَنْ يفي
And I am a man, foremost in seeking a promise's fulfillment.
I am a man who asks much of a promise,
And you are a man, the greatest in all time among those who keep their word.
And you are the greatest man in this world to keep promises.
