بِروحِيَ أَنفٌ بَينَ خَدّيهِ فاصلٌ
فَكانَso it was كَنورٍlike a light قَدalready بَداappeared بَينَbetween نورينِtwo lights
فَكانَ كَنورٍ قَد بَدا بَينَ نورينِ
With my soul I would ransom a nose that divides his two cheeks.
With my soul, a nose between its cheeks a separator
It was thus like a light that appeared between two lights.
So it was as a light that appeared between two lights
وَماand not هوّit إِلّاexcept البَرقُthe lightning يَلمَعُflashes دائِماًalways
وَما هوّ إِلّا البَرقُ يَلمَعُ دائِماً
ضِياءًradiantly وَيَبدوand appears فاصِلاًas a divider بَينَbetween بَدرينِtwo full moons
ضِياءً وَيَبدو فاصِلاً بَينَ بَدرينِ
And it is nothing but lightning, forever flashing
And it is nothing but the lightning that flashes evermore
Radiantly, and appearing as a divider between two full moons.
