With my lifeblood I would ransom her mouth, honey-sweet to kiss;
With her mouth my pearl necklace moist, dripping
it surpasses my two necklaces of neatly strung pearls.
It glides over my twin strands of pearls
إِنif كانَthere is فيupon نَحرِهاher neck عِقدٌa necklace تَقَلّدَهُit has donned it
فَقَدthen indeed تَقَلَّدhas donned مِنهاof hers الثّغرthe mouth عقدينِtwo necklaces
If her neck wears a necklace,
If around her neck one strand of pearls is clasped
then her mouth has donned two necklaces.
Then as she kissed, my lips two strands entwined
