مَنْwhoever قاسهُcompared him بالبَدرِto the full moon أخطأَerred فكرُهُhis thinking
وكلامُهُand his words عندَamong الوَرىhumankind لاnot يُسمَعُis heard
Whoever compares him to the full moon has erred in his thinking.
He who compares it to the full moon is mistaken
And his words go unheard among humankind.
His words to people will not be heard
فالبَدْرُfor the full moon يأفُلُsets كلَّevery لَيلٍnight سَرْمَداًforever
وَالحبُّand the beloved دوماًalways كلَّevery وقتٍmoment يَطلُعُrises
For the full moon sets every night, forever.
For the full moon sets every night forever
And the beloved always rises, at every moment.
While love always rises at all times
