هَذا ضَريحُ عليّ
يبدوappears كرَوضٍlike a garden بهيِّsplendid
يبدو كرَوضٍ بهيِّ
This is Ali's tomb.
This is Ali's tomb
It appears like a splendid garden.
It seems a beautiful garden
يُسقىis watered بصيِّبِwith a downpour غيثٍrain
يُسقى بصيِّبِ غيثٍ
مِنfrom فَضلِthe grace of ربّيmy Lord العَليِّthe Most High
مِن فَضلِ ربّي العَليِّ
It is watered by a downpour of rain
Watered by rain showers
From the grace of my Lord, the Most High.
From the grace of my Sublime Lord
بَلِrather الرّضاfavor منهfrom Him أرِّخْrecord the date
بَلِ الرّضا منه أرِّخْ
علاhas risen above ضريحَthe tomb of عليِّAli
علا ضريحَ عليِّ
Rather, favor from Him—record the date—
But let the satisfaction with Him date
Has risen above Ali's tomb.
