نَالَ حتّى الَّذي بِهِ يَتَجمَّل
The most generous of people gives away everything
The most generous of men spends everything
he has acquired—even what he adorns himself with.
He gained even what adorns him
إِنَّindeed ثَوباًa garment لَبستُهI wore it لَجَميلٌtruly beautiful
إِنَّ ثَوباً لَبستُه لَجَميلٌ
وَعَلىand on غَيريsomeone other than me حيثُwhere قَدalready صارَit has come to be أَجمَلmore beautiful
وَعَلى غَيري حيثُ قَد صارَ أَجمَل
Indeed, a garment I have worn is truly beautiful;
A garment once I wore was beautiful
and it is more beautiful once it has come to be on someone else.
And on another it became even more beautiful
