جاءَت لِداري فَحلَّ الدّار زَلزَلة

فَقُلتُ لا تَجزَعي وَاِمشي بِها فَرحا

She came to my house, and a tremor shook the house.

My home shook when you came to visit

So I said, "Do not be alarmed; walk through it joyfully.

I told you "Do not fret and walk in happily"

فَالدّارُ قَد عَلِمَت لمّا دَخَلت لَها

فَالدّارُ قَد عَلِمَت لمّا دَخَلت لَها

مِن أَجلِ ذا رَقَصت إِذْ جئتِها فَرحا

مِن أَجلِ ذا رَقَصت إِذْ جئتِها فَرحا

For the house knew when you entered it;

For the house knew when you entered

For this reason it danced with joy when you came to it."

It danced for joy at your arrival
