1. يا مَن يَرى الضّمائِرا

    وَيَعلمُ السّرائِرا

    O You who see the innermost thoughts,

    And know the hidden secrets,

  2. سُلطاننا رَبِّ لهُ

    كُن حافِظاً وَناصِرا

    For our sultan, O Lord,

    Be a guardian and a helper.

  3. رَبِّ لهُ فأيِّدا

    وَنجِّهِ مِنَ الرّدى

    Lord, then grant him support,

    And save him from death;

  4. وَاِقطَع بِسيفِهِ العِدى

    وَاِجعَلهُ فيهِم ظافِرا

    And cut down the foes with his sword,

    And make him victorious over them.

  5. أَدِمهُ ظِلَّكَ الظّليلْ

    وَاِنصُرهُ يا ربِّ الجَليلْ

    Keep him as Your sheltering shade,

    And grant him victory, O majestic Lord,

  6. بِالمُصطَفى وَبِالخَليلْ

    وَكُن إِلَهي ناظِرا

    By the Chosen One and God's Friend,

    And watch over him, my God.

  7. وَبِالكَليمِ موسى

    وَبِالمَسيحِ عِيسى

    And by Moses, who spoke with God,

    And by the Messiah, Jesus,

  8. وَبِالنبي إِدريسا

    كُن لِعِداهُ قاهِرا

    And by the prophet Idris,

    Be the subduer of his foes.

  9. ربِّ بكلِّ الرُّسْلِ

    وَالأَنبِياءِ الكلِّ

    Lord, by all the messengers,

    And all the prophets,

  10. اِجعَلهُ يا ذا الفَضلِ

    عَلى عِداهُ ظاهِرا

    Make him, O Possessor of bounty,

    Triumphant over his foes.

  11. بِأَعظَمِ الأَسماءِ

    وَساكِني السّماءِ

    By the greatest of Names,

    And those who dwell in heaven,

  12. هَبْهُ مِنَ العَطاءِ

    نَصراً عَزيزاً باهِرا

    Grant him from Your bounty

    A mighty, dazzling victory.

  13. فَهوَ إِمامُ المُسلِمينْ

    وَهوَ أَميرُ المُؤمِنينْ

    For he is the imam of the Muslims,

    And he is the Commander of the Faithful.

  14. رَبِّ مِنَ الفَتحِ المُبينْ

    أَنِلْهُ حظّاً وافرا

    Lord, from the manifest victory,

    Grant him an ample share.

  15. المَلكُ المَحمودُ

    مَنِ اِسمُه مَحمودُ

    The praiseworthy king,

    Whose name is Mahmud,

  16. قَلِّدهُ يا مَعبودُ

    لِلنّصرِ سَيفاً باتِرا

    Gird him, O worshipped One,

    With a cleaving sword for victory.

  17. أَطِلْ إِلَهي عُمرَهُ

    وَاِرفَع إلَهي قدرَهُ

    Prolong his life, my God;

    And raise his standing, my God;

  18. أَدِمْ إِلَهي نصرَهُ

    وَدُم إِلَهي ناصِرا

    Perpetuate his victory, my God;

    And remain his helper, my God.

  19. وَاِنصُر جُيوشَ المُسلِمينْ

    عَلى العداةِ الكَافِرين

    And grant victory to the Muslim armies

    Over the unbelieving foes.

  20. خُذهُم إِلَهي أَجمَعينْ

    لا تُبقِ مِنهُم كافِرا

    Seize them, my God, every one;

    Spare not one unbeliever among them.

  21. الرّومُ أَصحابُ العِنادْ

    أُولو الضّلالِ وَالفَسادْ

    The Romans, a people of obstinacy,

    Possessed of error and corruption—

  22. خُذهُم بِما دَمَّرتَ عادْ

    وَمِنهُمُ اِقطَع دابرا

    Seize them with what You used to destroy ʿAd,

    And cut off their last remnant.

  23. دَمِّرهُمُ وَعَجِّلا

    هَلاكَهُم لا تُمهِلا

    Destroy them, and hasten

    Their destruction; grant no respite.

  24. وَاِجعَل رَداهُم مثلا

    بَينَ الأَنامِ سائِرا

    And make their death an example,

    Circulating among humankind.

  25. يا رَبِّ بَدِّدْ شَملَهُم

    يا رَبِّ يَتِّم طِفلَهُم

    O Lord, scatter their gathering;

    O Lord, orphan their children;

  26. وَأَهْلِكَنْهُمْ كلَّهم

    أَوّلَهم وَالآخِرا

    And utterly destroy them all,

    Their first and their last.

  27. قَومٌ لِأَصحابِ الهُدى

    راموا الهَلاكَ وَالرّدى

    A people who, for the followers of guidance,

    Sought destruction and death.

  28. أَدِرْ أَدِرْ عَلى العِدى

    يا رَبَّنا الدّوائرا

    Turn, turn upon the foes,

    O our Lord, the turns of ill fortune.

  29. والِ الصّلاةَ وَالسّلامْ

    رَبِّ عَلى خَيرِ الأَنامْ

    Keep bestowing blessings and peace,

    Lord, upon the best of humankind,

  30. وَالآلِ وَالصّحبِ الفخامْ

    مَن أَرشَدوا الأَواخِرا

    And his family and noble companions,

    Who guided those who came after.
