يا رَبَّنا أَنتَ المُجيبْ

يا رَبَّنا أَنتَ المُجيبْ

أَنتَ السّميعُ وَالقَريبْ

أَنتَ السّميعُ وَالقَريبْ

O our Lord, You are the Answerer.

You are the All-Hearing and the Near.

أَنعِمْ عَلى سُلطانِنا

أَنعِمْ عَلى سُلطانِنا

بِالنَّصْرِ وَالفتحِ القَريب

بِالنَّصْرِ وَالفتحِ القَريب

Bestow upon our sultan

Victory and imminent conquest.

جِئناكَ رَبّي نَقرَعُ

جِئناكَ رَبّي نَقرَعُ

بابَ الرّجا وَنَضرعُ

بابَ الرّجا وَنَضرعُ

We have come to You, my Lord, knocking

At the door of hope and imploring.

بِالمُصطَفى نَستَشفِعُ

بِالمُصطَفى نَستَشفِعُ

فَإِنّه لَكَ الحَبيب

فَإِنّه لَكَ الحَبيب

We seek intercession through the Chosen One,

For he is Your beloved.

يا مَن يُجيبُ السّائِلا

يا مَن يُجيبُ السّائِلا

وَيَقبَلُ الوَسائِلا

وَيَقبَلُ الوَسائِلا

O You who answer the petitioner

And accept the means of approach,

كُن لِلدّعاءِ جاعِلا

كُن لِلدّعاءِ جاعِلا

قبولَهُ لَنا نَصيب

قبولَهُ لَنا نَصيب

Make, for our supplication,

Its acceptance our allotted share.

يا واعِداً أَن يَرْفَعَا

يا واعِداً أَن يَرْفَعَا

دُعاءَ مَن لَه دَعا

دُعاءَ مَن لَه دَعا

O You who promised to raise up

The prayer of whoever calls upon You,

نَرجو إِجابَةَ الدُّعا

نَرجو إِجابَةَ الدُّعا

فَمَن دَعاكَ لا يَخيب

فَمَن دَعاكَ لا يَخيب

We hope for an answer to our prayer,

For whoever calls upon You is not disappointed.

بِوَجهكَ الكَريمِ

بِوَجهكَ الكَريمِ

بِعَرشِكَ العَظيمِ

بِعَرشِكَ العَظيمِ

By Your noble face,

By Your mighty throne,

بِالمُصطَفى الفَخيمِ

بِالمُصطَفى الفَخيمِ

شِفا القُلوبِ وَالطبيب

شِفا القُلوبِ وَالطبيب

By the august Chosen One,

The cure of hearts and their physician,

بِأَعظَمِ الأَسماءِ

بِأَعظَمِ الأَسماءِ

يا خالِقَ السّماءِ

يا خالِقَ السّماءِ

By the greatest of Names,

O Creator of heaven,

يا سامِعَ الدّعاءِ

يا سامِعَ الدّعاءِ

مَن لِلدّعاءِ يَستجيب

مَن لِلدّعاءِ يَستجيب

O Hearer of prayer,

You who answer supplication,

وَبِالصّفاتِ يا قَديرْ

وَبِالصّفاتِ يا قَديرْ

يا راحِمَ الطّفلِ الصّغيرْ

يا راحِمَ الطّفلِ الصّغيرْ

And by the Attributes, O All-Powerful,

O You who show mercy to the little child,

يا عالِماً ما في الضّمير

يا عالِماً ما في الضّمير

ما عَنكَ مِن شَيءٍ يَغيب

ما عَنكَ مِن شَيءٍ يَغيب

O Knower of what lies within the heart,

Nothing is hidden from You.

بِالرُّسلِ ثمَّ الأَنبِيا

بِالرُّسلِ ثمَّ الأَنبِيا

بِالصُّلَحَا وَالأَتقِيا

بِالصُّلَحَا وَالأَتقِيا

By the messengers, then the prophets,

By the righteous and the God-fearing,

بِالعُلَما وَالأَولِيا

بِالعُلَما وَالأَولِيا

وَكلِّ قطبٍ وَنَجيب

وَكلِّ قطبٍ وَنَجيب

By the scholars and the saints,

And every spiritual pole and noble one,

يا رَبِّ بِالقُرآنِ

يا رَبِّ بِالقُرآنِ

أَيِّدْ أُولي الإِيمانِ

أَيِّدْ أُولي الإِيمانِ

O Lord, by the Qur'an,

Strengthen the people of faith

عَلى ذَوي الطّغيانِ

عَلى ذَوي الطّغيانِ

أَنزِلْ بِهِم هَولاً غَريب

أَنزِلْ بِهِم هَولاً غَريب

Against the people of tyranny.

Bring down upon them a strange terror.

بِسيِّدِ الأحبابِ

بِسيِّدِ الأحبابِ

بِالآلِ وَالأَصحابِ

بِالآلِ وَالأَصحابِ

By the master of the beloved ones,

By the family and the companions,

يا هازِمَ الأَحزابِ

يا هازِمَ الأَحزابِ

وَمُهلِكاً أَهلَ القليب

وَمُهلِكاً أَهلَ القليب

O Vanquisher of the confederates,

And Destroyer of the people of the well,

يا رَبِّ بِالمَلائِكهْ

يا رَبِّ بِالمَلائِكهْ

أَهل السّما المُبارَكهْ

أَهل السّما المُبارَكهْ

O Lord, by the angels,

The dwellers of blessed heaven,

اِجعِل عِدانا هالِكهْ

اِجعِل عِدانا هالِكهْ

بِسَهمِ قَهركَ المُصيب

بِسَهمِ قَهركَ المُصيب

Make our enemies perish

By the unerring arrow of Your overpowering might.

وَاِنصُر لَنا سُلطانَنا

وَاِنصُر لَنا سُلطانَنا

وَاِعمر بِهِ أَوطانَنا

وَاِعمر بِهِ أَوطانَنا

And grant our sultan victory for us,

And through him make our homelands flourish.

طَيِّب بِهِ زَمانَنا

طَيِّب بِهِ زَمانَنا

وَاِجعَل بِهِ العَيشَ يَطيب

وَاِجعَل بِهِ العَيشَ يَطيب

Through him make our times pleasant,

And through him make life sweet.

سُلطاننا مَحمودُ

سُلطاننا مَحمودُ

المَلكُ المَسعودُ

المَلكُ المَسعودُ

Our sultan, Mahmud,

The fortunate king—

دامَت لَهُ السعودُ

دامَت لَهُ السعودُ

بِالنّصرِ وَالعَزّ العَجيب

بِالنّصرِ وَالعَزّ العَجيب

May good fortune last for him,

With victory and wondrous glory.

فَهوَ الإِمامُ الأَفخمُ

فَهوَ الإِمامُ الأَفخمُ

وَالملك المُعظّمُ

وَالملك المُعظّمُ

For he is the most august imam,

And the exalted king,

وَالبطلُ المُقدّمُ

وَالبطلُ المُقدّمُ

وَالأَسدُ الشّهم المهيب

وَالأَسدُ الشّهم المهيب

And the foremost champion,

And the gallant, awe-inspiring lion.

يا رَبِّ أَبِّدْ دَولَتهْ

يا رَبِّ أَبِّدْ دَولَتهْ

يا رَبِّ خَلِّد صَولَتَهْ

يا رَبِّ خَلِّد صَولَتَهْ

O Lord, make his rule everlasting.

O Lord, perpetuate his conquering might.

يا رَبِّ وَاِجعَل رايتَهْ

يا رَبِّ وَاِجعَل رايتَهْ

بِالرُّعبِ لِلأَعدا تُذيب

بِالرُّعبِ لِلأَعدا تُذيب

O Lord, and make his banner

Melt the enemies with terror.

رَبِّ اِجْعَلَنْهُ ظاهِرَا

رَبِّ اِجْعَلَنْهُ ظاهِرَا

عليهِمُ وَقاهِرا

عليهِمُ وَقاهِرا

Lord, make him triumphant

Over them, and their subduer.

وَاِجعَلهُ فيهِم ظافِرا

وَاِجعَلهُ فيهِم ظافِرا

آمينَ يا نِعمَ المُجيب

آمينَ يا نِعمَ المُجيب

And make him victorious among them.

Amen, O most excellent Answerer!

يا رَبِّ قَوِّ بَطشَهُ

يا رَبِّ قَوِّ بَطشَهُ

يا رَبِّ أَيِّد جَيشَهُ

يا رَبِّ أَيِّد جَيشَهُ

O Lord, strengthen his striking power.

O Lord, reinforce his army.

يا رَبِّ طَيِّب عيشَهُ

يا رَبِّ طَيِّب عيشَهُ

بِالنّصرِ وَالفَتحِ القَريب

بِالنّصرِ وَالفَتحِ القَريب

O Lord, make his life pleasant

With victory and imminent conquest.

وَاِنصُره يا ربَّ العِبادْ

وَاِنصُره يا ربَّ العِبادْ

عَلى العِدا أَهلِ العِنادْ

عَلى العِدا أَهلِ العِنادْ

And grant him victory, O Lord of all servants,

Over the foes, the people of obstinacy,

أَهل الضّلالِ وَالفَساد

أَهل الضّلالِ وَالفَساد

يا رَبِّ خُذهم يا رَقيب

يا رَبِّ خُذهم يا رَقيب

The people of error and corruption.

O Lord, seize them, O Watchful One.

قَومٌ بِنا قَد مَكَروا

قَومٌ بِنا قَد مَكَروا

بِالبَغيِ فينا غَدَروا

بِالبَغيِ فينا غَدَروا

A people who have plotted against us,

In oppression they have betrayed us.

فَاِجعَلهم مَنْ خَسِروا

فَاِجعَلهم مَنْ خَسِروا

كلّ مُحِبٍّ وَحَبيب

كلّ مُحِبٍّ وَحَبيب

So make them those who have lost

Every loving friend and beloved.

فَرِّق لَنا جُموعَهم

فَرِّق لَنا جُموعَهم

وَكُن بِنا مريعَهمْ

وَكُن بِنا مريعَهمْ

Scatter their hosts for us,

And through us strike terror into them.

أَهلكهمُ جَميعَهم

أَهلكهمُ جَميعَهم

بِما بِهِ الطفلُ يَشيب

بِما بِهِ الطفلُ يَشيب

Destroy them, every one,

By that which makes a child grow gray.

رَبِّ اِرمِ فيهِم وَاِرشقِ

رَبِّ اِرمِ فيهِم وَاِرشقِ

سَهمَ الرَّدى ولا تقي

سَهمَ الرَّدى ولا تقي

Lord, shoot into their midst and loose

The arrow of death, and do not shield them.

يا رَبِّ فيهِم ضَيِّقِ

يا رَبِّ فيهِم ضَيِّقِ

لِلقَفرِ وَالفَلا الرّحيب

لِلقَفرِ وَالفَلا الرّحيب

O Lord, make narrow for them

The wasteland and the spacious wilderness.

وَاِجعَلهمُ غَنيمَهْ

وَاِجعَلهمُ غَنيمَهْ

رَبِّ لَنا عَميمهْ

رَبِّ لَنا عَميمهْ

And make them spoils,

Lord, plentiful for us.

بِذاتكَ العَظيمهْ

بِذاتكَ العَظيمهْ

قَرِّبْ رداهُم يا قَريب

قَرِّبْ رداهُم يا قَريب

By Your mighty essence,

Hasten their death, O Near One.

يا رَبِّ أَنتَ ربُّنا

يا رَبِّ أَنتَ ربُّنا

يا رَبِّ أَنتَ حسبُنا

يا رَبِّ أَنتَ حسبُنا

O Lord, You are our Lord.

O Lord, You are sufficient for us.

نَرجو يَكون عَضبنا

نَرجو يَكون عَضبنا

في نَحرِهم هوَ المُصيب

في نَحرِهم هوَ المُصيب

We hope our keen-edged sword will be

The one that strikes true at their throats.

صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ يا كَريمْ

صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ يا كَريمْ

عَلى نَبيِّك العَظيمْ

عَلى نَبيِّك العَظيمْ

Send blessings and peace, O Generous One,

Upon Your great Prophet,

المُصطَفى البرِّ الرّحيمْ

المُصطَفى البرِّ الرّحيمْ

وَخَير رَاكِبي النّجيبْ

وَخَير رَاكِبي النّجيبْ

The Chosen One, the righteous, the merciful,

And the best of those who ride noble camels,

وَآلهِ الآلِ الكِرامْ

وَآلهِ الآلِ الكِرامْ

وَصَحبهِ الغرِّ الفخام

وَصَحبهِ الغرِّ الفخام

And upon his family, the noble family,

And his radiant, exalted companions,

أَسنى الصّلاةِ وَالسّلامْ

أَسنى الصّلاةِ وَالسّلامْ

ما مالَ نَجمٌ لِلمَغيبْ

ما مالَ نَجمٌ لِلمَغيبْ

The most radiant blessings and peace,

As long as a star inclines toward its setting.
