قَد طالَ عُمرُ عَذولي

قَد طالَ عُمرُ عَذولي

وعذلُه لا يزولُ

وعذلُه لا يزولُ

My reproacher's life has indeed grown long,

Long has been the life of the wretched one

and his reproach does not cease.

And his wretchedness does not cease

وَطولُهُ لَيسَ بِدْعاً

وَطولُهُ لَيسَ بِدْعاً

عُمرُ الشّقيِّ طَويلُ

عُمرُ الشّقيِّ طَويلُ

And its length is nothing unusual:

And the length being not strange

the wretch's life is long.

For long is the life of the miserable one
