إِذ قامَ بَينَهُما بِرأيِ العينِ
My life for his two eyebrows, and likewise his black mole,
With eyebrows like two dark moles between
For between them stood, in plain sight,
When he stood up giving sight its due
عَبدٌa slave تَكَفَّلَundertook responsibility لِلعُيونِfor the eyes بِحِفظِهاfor protecting them
عَبدٌ تَكَفَّلَ لِلعُيونِ بِحِفظِها
فَلِذاكَand for that reason يَبدوhe appears شاهِراًbrandishing سَيفينِtwo swords
فَلِذاكَ يَبدو شاهِراً سَيفينِ
A slave who undertook to safeguard the eyes;
A slave took upon himself to guard the eyes
And so he appears brandishing two swords.
Thus openly wearing two swords is seen
