إِنّ ذا السّلسبيلَ خَيرٌ عظيمٌ

إِنّ ذا السّلسبيلَ خَيرٌ عظيمٌ

ماؤُهُ خِيلَ كَالزُّلال وريئا

ماؤُهُ خِيلَ كَالزُّلال وريئا

Indeed, this Salsabil fountain is a great boon.

Indeed this aqueduct is greatly good

Its water seemed like pure, sweet water, pleasant to drink.

Its water is horses, flowing smooth

فَسُليمانُ الوقت حقّاً بَناهُ

فَسُليمانُ الوقت حقّاً بَناهُ

فَهَنيئاً لِمَن بَناهُ هَنيئا

فَهَنيئاً لِمَن بَناهُ هَنيئا

For Sulayman of the age truly built it.

So Solomon rightly built it in his time

So congratulations to him who built it—congratulations!

Happy is he who built it, happily

فَهَلموا أَرّخت نَحوَ رَحيقٍ

فَهَلموا أَرّخت نَحوَ رَحيقٍ

بِيَدٍ وَاِشرَبوا هَنيئاً مَريئا

بِيَدٍ وَاِشرَبوا هَنيئاً مَريئا

So come—I recorded the date—toward nectar,

Come let us go to a fragrant meadow

With a hand, and drink with pleasure and good health.

With a hand to drink, happily clearly
