Indeed, the sky, with its stars aglow,
Though the sky shines bright with stars
And the full moon among them clearing the veil from sight,
And the full moon glows, blinding sight,
كَالسّقفِlike the ceiling مِنof لازَوردlapis lazuli فيهِin it مُلتَصِقٌaffixed

مِرآة دُرٍّ وَتُفّاح مِنَ الدّررِ
Is like a ceiling of lapis lazuli, to which are affixed
Like an azure dome set with pearls,
A mirror of pearl and apples made of pearls.
Apples of gold, and gems of light.
