حَمراءُred للقلبto the heart تجلبُbrings الفرَحاjoy
حَمراءُ للقلب تجلبُ الفرَحا
In the garden a carnation has bloomed,

كَأنَّها جَمرةٌ بِمَجمرةٍ
مِنَof الزّمرُّدِemerald عِطْرُهاits fragrance نفحَاwafted forth
مِنَ الزّمرُّدِ عِطْرُها نفحَا
As though it were an ember in a brazier
As if it were embers in a censer
Of emerald; its fragrance has wafted forth.
