I said to the one like a little branch in stature and poise:

“Bend toward a lovesick man who, in love, has been slain by you.

And his passion sought to force you to bend,

and he now wants it to make you bend.”

He said to me, “You and the passion within you are a wind.”

I said, “My aim, O branch, is to sway you.”
