أَحياbrought to life العَديمَthe destitute man سَخاؤُهُhis generosity
أَحيا العَديمَ سَخاؤُهُ
فيماthrough what حَباهُhe bestowed upon him مِنَof النِّعَمْblessings
فيما حَباهُ مِنَ النِّعَمْ
His generosity brought the destitute man to life
His generosity enlivens the destitute
through the blessings he bestowed upon him.
Through the bounty he has been granted
لَوif لَمnot تَكُنexist أهلُpeople of الكَرمْgenerosity
لَو لَم تَكُن أهلُ الكَرمْ
ماتَتdied أَسىًof sorrow أَهلُpeople of العَدَمdestitution
ماتَت أَسىً أَهلُ العَدَم
Had there been no generous people,
If the generous were not around
the destitute would have died of sorrow.
The poor would perish in sorrow
