God is greatest! The faith of unbelief is forsaken.
Allah is the Greatest, the religion of disbelief is humiliated

With every dog that no ghoul could match.
With every dog that came out was not restrained by any wolf

And wounds and slaughter spread among his people.
And death encompasses his people with wounds and killings

Woe to those misguided ones! How evil their deeds,
O woe unto them from the tyrants, evil is what they have done
Seeking glory in what brings humiliation and abasement!
For glory - that which brings disgrace and humiliation

They lost the way; may God confound their striving!
They have lost the way, and so God made their endeavor go astray
And their judgment undoubtedly contained misguidance.
And in their view there was no doubt, straying

They exchanged ugly unbelief for its ugliest form,
They substituted the ugliness of disbelief for the ugliest of it
And changing their unbelief pleased them.
And the worst disbelief seemed good to them in exchange

They are the French who God destroyed their state
And may overwhelming force bring about its removal!

In tyranny, or by 'Ad and accursed Pharaoh.

He named himself Bonaparte but then rebelled
And was repelled for his aggression, furious and shamed.
And was repelled in his rebellion angrily humiliated

And he appealed against the one whose progeny he attempted
And his camouflage and deceit deluded them.

They exceeded all bounds and oppressed, pursuing corruption,
They transgressed and rebelled when they pursued corruption
And they would not turn away from it.
And they had no way to change that course

They devised tricks with deceit which were supported
And disguise and illusion reinforced their cunning.
And supported the deceit with confusion and imagination

They intended to take the lands of the Muslims and what
Did not know that what they wished was forbidden.
They intended - it is God who foiled it

So in ships they came to Egypt in an uncanny manner
Whose multitude cast shade upon the eye of the sun.
Ships whose sails shaded the eyes of the sun

They seized it through war unprecedented
Which no comparison or likeness could portray.
Which cannot be told in similes and examples

In it they stayed for the month of fasting preparing
And there their preparations for war became complete.
For war - the army there was depleted

They marched their horses in that month and headed
Toward al-Sham, where valiant men dwell.
Towards Syria in which are the monasteries

They came to El Arish and camped at its fortress
Like locusts, a worthless people.
Like locusts - a disreputable ruinous people

They fought it for ten days - the battle was fierce
A fierce war that left the army shattered.
The Muslim army there was overwhelmed

The noble Muslims surrendered its fortress
The Muslims then surrendered the fortress with a treaty
By treaty, for food, like water, had grown scarce.
When the water supply there was exhausted

With the Muslims that were in it when they attained

They encircled it in rings as their spokesman said,
They incited each other saying: attack it!
'Charge against it, and plunge into the fiercest combat!'
And plunge into the heat of fierce fighting

They fought against it for four days,
We will take it in three days and seize the land
And God had decreed what admits no alteration.
Far and wide - it's length included in its breadth
فَإِنَّهُfor He إِنْif قَضىdecrees أَمراًa matter ينفّذُهُcarries it out

وَأَمرُه حينما يَقضيهِ مَفعولُ
For when He decrees a matter, He carries it out,
Vain hopes spoke to him about seizing it
And His command, whenever He decrees it, is accomplished.
And the words of hopes are nothing but delusions

With cannon, on the feast day, they opened
He thought Jaffa like Egypt or like Malta
A gate in the wall, through which calamities came.
Or like Rome - and thinking is imagining

Through it they entered at noon, and
Doesn't he know that Jaffa is not like those
The fighting grew earnest, and idle talk diminished.
Except one feeble of mind and insane?

The war stood on its feet and grew fierce,
Doesn't he know that Jaffa's fire has increased
And death then was undoubtedly accepted.
And whoever intends to seize it, is burned?

Bullets came in succession like drops of heavy rain,
Doesn't he know that the best of prophets entirely
And swords were blunted by the abundance of slaughter.
Is at its gate - opened and locked?

How many boys and beautiful women they slaughtered there!
Doesn't he know about the father of the two grandsons, our Master
And a lion fell to the earth, bereaved.
In his tower drew out an sharpened sword?

How many a caller for help cried out in pain, 'O
Likewise a man of repute saw in his dream
God, for the noble Muslims who have been struck down!'
Two who resemble them - and this is conveyed

The battle continued back and forth without slackening
Doesn't he know that the lion of the forest is inside it
Until darkness, with the night’s gloom drawn down.
And that Jaffa for the lions of battle is the thickets?

Were either wounded or shackled in captivity.
Steadfast of heart whom no horrors can shake

Ashhab the Baz didn't frighten him
What was in their hands and what lay upon the ground.
The buzzing of insects, a sparrow or a starling

After granting them safety, they betrayed its soldiers,
So how can the horrors of battle frighten a man
And all were slain by the bullets of unbelief.
Created from battle, its affairs innate within him?

He is the slaughtering lion, their executioner
Through His bounty; He is hoped for and sought.
With the Indian sword nothing makes him waver

The enemies of faith grew stronger when they captured
When the enemies saw him pounce towards them
Jaffa, gaining what furnished their warfare.
They thought him an army - in awe they recoiled

And all of that was borne toward Acre.

How many towns came continually to unblemished Jaffa
Were their appointed ends, whose deferred time had arrived.
To perform jihad, urged on enthusiastically

How many went to battle the enemies sincerely
In Acre's meadow, where noble champions dwell.
Spending wealth and soul, no threat hinders him

They were being driven toward the death they hated,
How many volunteered on the day of slaughter, sacrificing
With no advancing or shrinking away from it.
A polytheist - and the sacrifice is accepted

How many ended the siege by slaughtering a ram
And this matter is narrated and transmitted from him.

How often did the Slaughterer raid the enemies calculating
And his truthful word admits no alteration.
Neither wealth nor self preventing him from the horrors

How abundant were those he gathered and supported
To battle, exerting every effort.

He said, 'Direct your determination toward Acre
Every time the battles raged he showed his resilience
In fighting it, and range across the battlefield!
And with veneration, reverence for him intensified

He bombarded them with multiples of what they bombarded
A fortress before which fierce lions are humbled.
And their hopes of hitting were always denied

What we have desired and hoped for.

Wishful hopes spoke to him of possessing it,
So that nothing can be seen but lightning
But their tales were nothing but falsehoods.
And thunder to the lost providing some light

And constant downpour of bullets continuously
Or like Rome; his supposition was an illusion.
From us - cut off and melted down

The fighting does not stop for a time or an hour
With those places except a feeble-minded madman?
And since it started there has been no cessation

That is a war unmatched in the past
And whoever intended to take it would be set ablaze?
Not explicitly conveyed like reports

The infant, still a child, becomes grey-haired from the terror
Is at its gate, when open and when shut?
And its horrors make the sane mind insane

How many charges did they make raising their ladders
Who drew a polished sword in his tower?
Their number in summary would be prolonged

How many times they climbed its walls but fell
One of the trustworthy; this is transmitted from him.
Dead and were afflicted with death and killings

How many towers collapsed from their cannons
And that Acre is a thicket for the lions of battle?
As if after being built they immediately crumbled

Steadfast of heart, untroubled by intimidation?
And how many battlements tottered and leaned

If the wall collapses, the Slaughterer is its guardian
The buzzing of flies, a sparrow, or a dragonfly.
For he is the wall, and the wall, the monasteries!

Who is fashioned from combat and the affairs of war?
Or lightning strikes - intense and frequent

He is the lion, al-Jazzar, their slaughterer,
When fired into the darkness like shooting stars
With a sharp, polished blade that never grows blunt.
Plunging and as if at night they were lamps

The band of polytheism hurried along
How many infidels were blown into the air wickedly
Toward Acre and the calamities awaiting there.
And how many accursed were torn apart unknown

On the thirteenth of Shawwal
With the cannons he burns and grills them
They arrived, their rising star bound to ill fortune.
Well-cooked for the birds' consumption facilitated

They encamped before it, their numbers like ants,
He feeds their flesh to the hungry birds
And ants, in their weakness, are killed by trampling.
And the birds find that meat palatable

That became graves for them, filled with terrors.
Where burning them was documented

God cast them into what they had dug for that purpose,
And whenever the fighting intensified he was joyous
And in it they suffered injury and punishment.
Eyes delighted with good tidings intoxicated

Their digging made ravines in its meadow,
He brandishes his sharpened sword at them
Through which the enemies' blood flowed, unavenged.
As if a lion in attack or an elephant

He is like Antara whose courage became famous
With its huge load, unbent by what it bore.
The cowardly and ignoble in awe of him

Whenever they fought he showed his composure
As a craven does out of fear.
And with veneration and reverence he was regarded

Behind their barricades they arrayed their cannon,
How often the Slaughterer raided them with good intentions
And drumming gathered them for battle.
Neither wealth nor life making him waver

How great was the number he gathered and supported
Lions, even when unarmed in battle.

However much they fought he displayed perseverance
That its weight would crush Qaf and smooth rock.
And with reverence and respect he was venerated

Unrecounted by any unknown teller, even in the flimsiest fabrication.
And he repelled them with multiples of what they repelled

Even a summary count of them would take long.

In the meadow of Acre but they did not go
Nor could summary or detail enumerate them.
They utilized all their schemes and means

Billowing dust that shaded it like clouds.

And repelled those who escaped in humiliation
A winter night with darkness drawn down upon it.
They fled by night with no stars

Constantly from us, cut loose and released.

Nor had its course been interrupted since it began.
By morning only their dwellings could be seen

Thanks to God as disbelief was humiliated
Nor could reason make it plain as reports did.
God supported the Slaughterer against a small band

An infant child would turn gray from its terror,
Through him supported and helped
And its horror would drive a rational man mad.
For he strengthened the religion of God from weakness

Become the French's kingdom, no way to revert it
Fallen corpses, overtaken by destruction and slaughter!

For he is the wall, and the wall is its valiant men.
