ياO مُقرِفاًrepulsive one فيin الأَكلِeating حينَwhen يُريدُهُhe wants it
يا مُقرِفاً في الأَكلِ حينَ يُريدُهُ
ماnot كانَwas بَينَamong النّاسِpeople بِالإِنسانِa human being (emphatic)
ما كانَ بَينَ النّاسِ بِالإِنسانِ
O you who are revolting when you wish to eat,
He is no human being among people
مَنْwhoever شأنُهُhis habit شَمُّsniffing الطّعامِthe food بِأَنفِهِwith his nose
مَنْ شأنُهُ شَمُّ الطّعامِ بِأَنفِهِ
مِثلlike الحِمارِthe donkey يَشمّhe sniffs بَولَurine أَتانِa she-ass
مِثل الحِمارِ يَشمّ بَولَ أَتانِ
Whose habit is to sniff food with his nose,
Like a donkey sniffing a she-ass's urine.
