يا رَبِّ ظَنّي فيكَ أَحسَنتهُ
مَعَdespite اِقتِرافيmy committing لِلذّنوبِof the sins العِظامْgrave
مَعَ اِقتِرافي لِلذّنوبِ العِظامْ
O Lord, I have thought the best of You,
O Lord, I have thought well of You,
despite my committing grave sins.

خُنصرُthe little finger عُمريof my life لَمnot يَزَلcease to be عاطِلاًunadorned
خُنصرُ عُمري لَم يَزَل عاطِلاً
فَحَلِّهso adorn it رَبِّmy Lord بِحُسنِwith the goodness of الخِتامthe ending
فَحَلِّه رَبِّ بِحُسنِ الخِتام
The little finger of my life has remained bare;
The little finger of my life remains unadorned;
so adorn it, Lord, with a beautiful ending.
