طَلَعَappeared العِذارُthe cheek-down بِوَجهِهِon his face
طَلَعَ العِذارُ بِوَجهِهِ
فَاِزدادَso it increased مِنهُfrom it بِهِthrough it جَمالاًin beauty
فَاِزدادَ مِنهُ بِهِ جَمالاً
Cheek-down appeared upon his face,
The full moon rose with its face,
And with it his face grew more beautiful.
So it increased in beauty because of it,
مُذsince كانَwas شَمساًa sun وَجههُhis face
مُذ كانَ شَمساً وَجههُ
كانَwas العِذارُthe cheek-down لَهاfor it حبالاًrays (literally, cords)
كانَ العِذارُ لَها حبالاً
Since his face was a sun,
Since its face was a sun,
The cheek-down was its rays.
The full moon had been a rope for it.
