A minaret whose lamps were many, raised aloft—
A lampstand, bearing many lamps, had been raised;
I took it for the Pleiades, without a trace of doubt;
so you thought it was like the Pleiades, without a doubt.

for it had heard our chanter’s song,
For when it heard our chanter's chanting,
and descended toward him, dancing with delight.
it descended toward him, dancing in rapture.
