رَوضٌa garden بِهِin it الأَزهارُthe flowers مِسْنَswayed نَواضِراًfresh and radiant
فَسَقَينَناso they gave us to drink الأَفراحَthe joys مثلَlike مدامِwine
A garden where the flowers swayed, fresh and radiant;
So they gave us joys to drink like wine.
صِرناwe came to سُروراًout of joy حينَat the time of خَلعِcasting off عِذارِناour bridle
غررbright faces الزّهورِof the flowers نَدوسُwe tread بِالأَقدامِwith our feet
In delight, when we cast off our bridles, we came to
Tread the bright faces of flowers beneath our feet.
