May my father be a ransom for her face, which put the forenoon sun to shame.
And night truly resembles her hair.
وَجهٌa face نَقِيُّunblemished الخدِّthe cheek قلتI said وَشعرهاand her hair
لِلعِشقِfor love فَوقَupon الرّملِthe sand خَطَّtraced طَريقاa path
A face with an unblemished cheek, I said; and her hair
Traced a path for love across the sand.
