تَزاهَرَshone brightly الحسنُbeauty عَلىupon وَجهِهِhis face
تَزاهَرَ الحسنُ عَلى وَجهِهِ
وَقَدand indeed بَداappeared عِذارهُhis cheek-down الأَنضرُfresh and radiant
وَقَد بَدا عِذارهُ الأَنضرُ
Beauty shone brightly upon his face.
Beauty blossomed on his face
And indeed his fresh cheek-down appeared.
And his tender glance began to shine
وَصارَand he became سُلطاناًa sovereign لأَهلِfor the people of البَهاbeauty
وَصارَ سُلطاناً لأَهلِ البَها
دلَّpointed عليهِto him العلمُthe banner الأخضرُgreen
دلَّ عليهِ العلمُ الأخضرُ
And he became a sovereign over the people of beauty.
He became a sultan to the people of splendor
