وَلاand do not تَسمَعْlisten مِنَfrom الحُسّادِthe envious قَولاًa claim
وَلا تَسمَعْ مِنَ الحُسّادِ قَولاً
فلانٌso-and-so حازَamassed أموالاًwealth لديهِin his possession
فلانٌ حازَ أموالاً لديهِ
And do not heed a claim from the envious:
“So-and-so has amassed wealth in his possession.”
فَإِنّfor indeed الكذبَfalsehood يَنقُلُهُhe spreads it كَذوبٌa habitual liar
فَإِنّ الكذبَ يَنقُلُهُ كَذوبٌ
وَإِنَّand indeed القِرشَthe piastre مَكذوبٌlied about عليهِabout it
وَإِنَّ القِرشَ مَكذوبٌ عليهِ
For a habitual liar spreads falsehood,
And indeed, the piastre is lied about.
