وَإِنّ الثريّا وَالكَواكِبَ حَولَها

وَبَدرَ السّما فيها بِأَرضِ زَبَرجَدِ

And indeed the Pleiades and the stars around them,

The Pleiades and stars around her

And heaven’s full moon among them, upon a ground of chrysolite,

And the moon of the sky in it on an emerald land

لِعُنقودِ دَرٍّ قَد تَناثَرَ حَبُّهُ

لِعُنقودِ دَرٍّ قَد تَناثَرَ حَبُّهُ

حَواليهِ مِن حِبٍّ لَدى صَحنِ عَسجَدِ

حَواليهِ مِن حِبٍّ لَدى صَحنِ عَسجَدِ

Are a cluster of pearls whose beads have been scattered

Are clusters of pearls whose seeds were scattered

Around it by a beloved, beside a dish of gold.

Around it of love by a platter made of chrysolite
