وَلَئِن عَزَمتَ على الذّهابِ لِبَلدَةٍ

وَلَئِن عَزَمتَ على الذّهابِ لِبَلدَةٍ

في بابِها كُلُّ الضّياغِمِ تَخضعُ

في بابِها كُلُّ الضّياغِمِ تَخضعُ

And if you resolve to go to a town

And if you're determined to go to a town

At whose gate all the lions bow in submission,

Where at its gate perils abound and bow down

أَبشِر بِأَنّك لِلسّلامَةِ صاحِبٌ

أَبشِر بِأَنّك لِلسّلامَةِ صاحِبٌ

وَبِها تَروحُ وَبِالسّلامَةِ تَرجِعُ

وَبِها تَروحُ وَبِالسّلامَةِ تَرجِعُ

Rejoice, for safety is your companion;

Rejoice, for well-being shall be your friend

With it you set out, and in safety you return.

There you will go, and in safety return again
