And I am smitten with his face—how radiant his charms!
My soul is enraptured by his beauty's splendor,
So every mind is bewildered and astonished by them.
Each mind confounded, lost in awe profound.

وَما سِواها لِروحِ المهتوي قوتُ
A sun whose sight has nourished our souls,
The sun that nourished spirits with its wonder,
And nothing but her is sustenance for the lover’s soul.
No other food can fortify hearts unsound.

And his mouth is the treasure from the spring of life; within it lie
His mouth a treasure from life's fountain rendered,
The most radiant pearls, and the treasure’s gate is ruby.
Finest rubies, opening to treasures abound.
