Through him, cups of pure joy came in succession;
for if one cup passes, another comes after it.

Above glory there arose a radiant sun.
A radiant sun is born above honor;
Good fortune is her constellation; no ill-star comes near it.
good fortune is its zodiacal sign, which no ill fortune approaches.

Glory is his cradle, and lofty honors his foster-mothers;
Glory is his cradle, and lofty honors his nurses;
Sublimity nurses him, bending tenderly and never turning harsh.
and eminence suckles him, showing tenderness and no harshness.

is surely a star, and in the heights a full moon—he is the sun.
