وَرِثت يا خِدن العُلى وَالنَّدى

وَرِثت يا خِدن العُلى وَالنَّدى

ديار مِن رَبّي قَضى قَرضَهم

ديار مِن رَبّي قَضى قَرضَهم

You inherited, O companion of eminence and generosity,

the homes of those whose destruction my Lord decreed—

مَن أُهلِكوا خَنقاً وَفي البَحرِ قَد

مَن أُهلِكوا خَنقاً وَفي البَحرِ قَد

أُلقُوا وَقَد أَبدى الحَشا بُغضَهم

أُلقُوا وَقَد أَبدى الحَشا بُغضَهم

those who were strangled to death and into the sea had

been cast, while the heart revealed its hatred of them.

تَسكُنها في صِحّةٍ فَلتَدم

تَسكُنها في صِحّةٍ فَلتَدم

حَمداً لِمَن أَورَثَكم أَرضَهُم

حَمداً لِمَن أَورَثَكم أَرضَهُم

You dwell in them in good health; may you continue

praising Him who bequeathed their land to you.
