عَزيزٌ لا يُضاهِيهِ عَزيزٌ

عَزيزٌ لا يُضاهِيهِ عَزيزٌ

مَنِ اِتخذَ الكمالَ لَهُ دِثارا

مَنِ اِتخذَ الكمالَ لَهُ دِثارا

Noble—no noble man can rival him—

Honored, unmatched by any honored man,

is he who takes perfection for his cloak.

is he who has taken perfection as his outer garment.

ذَليلٌ لا يُقاسُ بِهِ ذَليل

ذَليلٌ لا يُقاسُ بِهِ ذَليل

مِنَ اِتخذَ الهَوانَ لَهُ شِعارا

مِنَ اِتخذَ الهَوانَ لَهُ شِعارا

Abject—no abject man can compare with him—

Abased, with no abased man comparable to him,

is he who takes humiliation for his emblem.

is he who has taken humiliation as his inner garment.
