لِفُؤاديfor my heart وَمُقلَتيand my eye حالَةٌa state فيconcerning
لِفُؤادي وَمُقلَتي حالَةٌ في
وَجنَةِthe cheek of الحبِّthe beloved وَهيَand it أَمرٌa matter فَخيمُmomentous
وَجنَةِ الحبِّ وَهيَ أَمرٌ فَخيمُ
My heart and my eye have a certain state concerning
My heart and my eye have a state in
The beloved’s cheek, and it is a momentous matter.
The garden of love, and it is a grave matter
وَجَنةa cheek لِلعيونِto the eyes تظهرُappears ناراًas fire
وَجَنة لِلعيونِ تظهرُ ناراً
وَهيَand it فيin القلبِthe heart جنّةٌa paradise وَنَعيمُand bliss
وَهيَ في القلبِ جنّةٌ وَنَعيمُ
A cheek that appears to the eyes as fire,
A garden for the eyes appears as fire
And in the heart it is a paradise and bliss.
While in the heart it is a garden and bliss
