Oh, how vile he is among men—a man who has come to
How ugly among the people is a man who tomorrow
amass and harbor every reproach and every censure.
Will possess and contain every flaw and every blame.
فَعَنfor, of كلِّall مَحمودٍthat is praiseworthy مِنَamong النّاسِpeople قَدindeed خَلاhe is devoid

For he is devoid of all that is praiseworthy among men,
He is devoid of every praiseworthy trait among people,
yet he harbors whatever is condemned in them.
Yet he harbors that within them which deserves blame.
