قَدindeed قَيّدتhave been restrained أَلسِنَةtongues الأَنامhumankind فيin
قَد قَيّدت أَلسِنَة الأَنام في
هَذاthis الزّمانage عَنfrom كَلامspeech خَشنِharsh
هَذا الزّمان عَن كَلام خَشنِ
Indeed, the tongues of humankind have been restrained in
I have tied the tongues of people in
This age from harsh speech.
This age from harsh speech
رَبّيmy Lord أَطِلprolong بِراحةٍin comfort فيin مدّتيmy lifetime
رَبّي أَطِل بِراحةٍ في مدّتي
وَأَحيِنيand keep me alive إِلىuntil اِنطِلاقrelease الأَلسُنِthe tongues
وَأَحيِني إِلى اِنطِلاق الأَلسُنِ
My Lord, prolong my lifetime in comfort,
My Lord, grant me relief in my term
And keep me alive until tongues are set free.
And bring me to the loosening of tongues
