نُجومُ السّماءِ عُيونٌ تَفيض

نُجومُ السّماءِ عُيونٌ تَفيض

ضِياءً عَلى اللَّيلِ إِذ أَظلَما

The stars of the sky are eyes overflowing

وَحينَ يَجيءُ النَّهارُ تَرى

مِنَ الشّمسِ غارَت عُيونُ السّما

مِنَ الشّمسِ غارَت عُيونُ السّما

And when day comes, you see

That the sky’s eyes have grown jealous of the sun.

The sun's light has drowned the eyes of the sky
