The full moon, after an absence, with its radiant stars,
The full moon has returned with its gleam
Has settled in its abode, with light clothing it.
After its absence, dwelling in its abode, cloaked in light.

And the lion returned to the thicket it had left,
And the lion has come back to the pride he had left,
And rose to build it with glory and lofty honor.
Standing with glory, building its loftiness.

This prince, glory's meteor, its star,
This prince, the star of glory, his planet
Has appeared at the zenith of greatness, his noble qualities shining.
Appeared at the height of sublimity, his grandeur superb.

He has returned above glory's Pleiades, exalted in honor,
He has returned atop glory’s summit with honor,
With a procession of honor; no peer can rival him.
In a procession of might that none can match.

He has come to his blessed, auspicious dwelling,
And glory is its inhabitant, and good fortune its builder.
Glory inhabiting it, good fortune building it.

The garb of his office adorns his shoulders,
With the luster of rule, lending him radiance and splendor.
With the elegance of rule, radiant and splendid.

The glowing moon now illuminates with him
After its darkness during his absence.
After its darkness, folding and unfolding.

يَجرّ جَذلان ذَيلَ الفَخرِ والتيهِ
And the universe dances with its sleeves for joy,
The universe dances joyfully with flowing sleeves,
Jubilant, it trails the train of pride and haughtiness.
Dragging behind the train of pride and wandering.

The stars bloom with lights in rapture,
And its splendor at night has grown from his gladness.
Growing even brighter at night with elation.

Glad tidings to the prince, and to us, on his return;
Good tidings of the prince, and our gladness at his return,
And in my joy, it is fitting that I congratulate him.
My joy deserves to congratulate him.

May this rule remain vested in him, never leaving him,
Governance remains with him, never leaving,
And may justice command and restrain him in it.
Justice commanding him, forbidding him.

An enduring age without any lack to accompany it.

Shield him from them and guard him throughout time.
Shield him from them all, defending him the ages long.
ماas long as الرّوضُthe garden أَزهَرَblooms ماas long as وَبلheavy rain السّحابِof the clouds هَمىpours down

ماas long as الغُصنُthe bough قَدhas مادَswayed فيin أَثنىthe midst of تَثنّيهِits bending
ما الغُصنُ قَد مادَ في أَثنى تَثنّيهِ
As long as the garden blooms, as long as the clouds' downpour falls,
The meadow never bloomed, nor the clouds rained heavily,
As long as the bough sways as it bends,
The branch never extended in a twist and turn.
ماas long as البَرقُlightning لاحَflashes وَماand as long as هَبَّتblows نَسيمُa breeze صباof the east wind

ما الوُرق أَبدى غَريباً مِن مَغانيهِ
As long as lightning flashes, and the east wind's breeze blows,
Lightning never flashed, nor did the northern breeze blow,
As long as the gray doves voice a wondrous strain of their songs.
The leaves never produced from their songs anything strange.
