وَلَمّا تَركتُ اِلْياسَ في صُحبةِ الوَرى

وَلَمّا تَركتُ اِلْياسَ في صُحبةِ الوَرى

تعذَّبْتُ منهُم بالشّديدِ منَ الباسِ

تعذَّبْتُ منهُم بالشّديدِ منَ الباسِ

And when I left Ilyas for the company of people,

And when I left Elias in the company of mortals

I suffered grievous affliction at their hands.

I suffered much hardship from them

وَإِنّيَ مِنهُمْ قد يَئِسْتُ تَعمُّداً

وَإِنّيَ مِنهُمْ قد يَئِسْتُ تَعمُّداً

ليَدْروا بأنّي قد رَجعْتُ إلى اِلْياسِ

ليَدْروا بأنّي قد رَجعْتُ إلى اِلْياسِ

And indeed, I have deliberately despaired of them,

And truly I despaired of them deliberately

so they may know that I have returned to Ilyas.

So they would know I returned to Elias
