My body has become worn out, threadbare like a cloak.
My body has become tired like ruins in creation
In love, it passes from ailment to ailment.
In love, it is possible to go from one affliction to another

I wanted to wash it, seeking to make it clean.
I wanted to wash it, I wanted its cleanliness
So I feared it would flow away with the water if washed.
But I feared that washing it would drain it away with the water
