بَشائِرُ السّعدِ لاحَت تُوجِبُ الرّشَدا

بَشائِرُ السّعدِ لاحَت تُوجِبُ الرّشَدا

فَفرَّحَتْ طَرفَ قَلبٍ لازَمَ السّهدا

فَفرَّحَتْ طَرفَ قَلبٍ لازَمَ السّهدا

Glad tidings of good fortune have appeared, bringing right guidance.

The good tidings of joy have appeared, bringing guidance,

So they gladdened the eye of a heart that had kept sleepless vigil.

They have gladdened the heart that was grieving,

وَالقَلبُ في راحَةٍ بِالصَّفوِ مِن كدَرٍ

وَالقَلبُ في راحَةٍ بِالصَّفوِ مِن كدَرٍ

فَلا اِلتِفاتٌ لِمَن عانَى وَمَن حَسَدا

فَلا اِلتِفاتٌ لِمَن عانَى وَمَن حَسَدا

And the heart is at ease, in serenity free of murk.

And the heart is now tranquil, free from distress,

So no heed is paid to those who suffered and those who envied.

Not paying attention to those who are envious.

فَقُلْ لِمن جعَلَ الإنكارَ سُنّتَه

فَقُلْ لِمن جعَلَ الإنكارَ سُنّتَه

أَتَيتَ أَمراً غَدا يَستَعقِبُ النّكدا

أَتَيتَ أَمراً غَدا يَستَعقِبُ النّكدا

So say to whoever has made denial his practice:

Say to those who make denial their way,

You have done a deed that now brings misery in its wake.

“You have chosen a path that will lead to regret.”

فَاِشهَدْ فَتىً بمُقامِ الجَمعِ غابَ ودَعْ

فَاِشهَدْ فَتىً بمُقامِ الجَمعِ غابَ ودَعْ

دعِ المَلامةَ ما هذا المقامُ سُدى

دعِ المَلامةَ ما هذا المقامُ سُدى

So behold a youth who has vanished in the station of union, and leave off—

So witness a noble youth who left the gathering and went away,

Leave off reproach; this station is not in vain.

Leave the blame, for this is not the place for contention.

ودَعْ أُناساً جميلَ الصّنعِ عوّدَهم

ودَعْ أُناساً جميلَ الصّنعِ عوّدَهم

إلهُهُم فغَدوا للسّالكينَ هُدى

إلهُهُم فغَدوا للسّالكينَ هُدى

And leave alone a people accustomed to gracious treatment

And leave those whose good upbringing has accustomed them

By their God; they have become guidance for those who tread the path.

To follow their God, so they are guides for the seekers.

وَقَد حَباهُم بِعِرفانٍ وَحَفَّهموا

وَقَد حَباهُم بِعِرفانٍ وَحَفَّهموا

بِاللُّطفِ في كلِّ ما يَرجونَهُ أبَدا

بِاللُّطفِ في كلِّ ما يَرجونَهُ أبَدا

And He has indeed endowed them with spiritual knowledge and surrounded them

He has granted them wisdom and surrounded them

With kindness in all that they hope for, forever.
