حابِ الصّديقَ بِبَيعِهِ

حابِ الصّديقَ بِبَيعِهِ

فالغُبْنُ مِن فِعلِ اللّئيمْ

فالغُبْنُ مِن فِعلِ اللّئيمْ

Favor your friend when selling to him.

Betraying a friend for profit

For cheating is the work of the ignoble.

Is the act of a contemptible man.

غُبنُ الصّديقِ نَذالَةٌ

غُبنُ الصّديقِ نَذالَةٌ

لا يَرتَضي فيها الكَريمْ

لا يَرتَضي فيها الكَريمْ

Cheating a friend is baseness.

To cheat a friend is disgraceful;

The noble will not consent to it.

No honorable person would do this.
