Yes, we hear the complaint and accept the claim.
Yes, we hear the complaints and accept the pleas
And give you justice against ourselves, as far as we can.
And we grant you justice from us to the extent we are able
ولكنكمbut you عناaway from us تميلونturn aside بالهوىin love
ولكنكم عنا تميلون بالهوى
وتولونناand you inflict on us منthrough صدكمyour rejection اعظمgreatest البلوىthe affliction
وتولوننا من صدكم اعظم البلوى
But in love you turn away from us.
But you turn away from us out of passion
And through your rejection you inflict on us the greatest affliction.
And your rejection causes us the greatest affliction
