محب صحيح الود أخلاقه حسنى

دع الصد يا مفضال وارحم متيماً

كفاه الذي قد كان يا كامل المعنى
Leave off shunning, O generous one, and pity one enslaved by love.
Leave the rejection, O virtuous one, and have mercy on an enamored one
What has already befallen him is enough, O you perfect in every sense.
