وفِيّ عَلَى تحمّلِيَ اعتراضُ
I have broken with my folly and given my forbearance rest;
I cast off my foolishness and set free my forbearance
Yet, despite my endurance, resistance remains within me.
Yet still face reproach for my patience

Still, I answer whenever they summon me
Though I answer when called
To their desires—the languid eyes.
To the needs of the sick and tearful
