نِداءً سَميعاً فاستجابَ وسَلّمَا
Indeed, by Him who called His servant from the Mount,
He who called his servant from Mount Sinai
with an audible call, so he answered and submitted:
With a summons heard and obeyed,
لقprobably 'indeed' (incomplete token) كِدْتُI almost لولاwere it not for اللهGod لاno شيءَthing غيرُهُother than Him
لق كِدْتُ لولا الله لا شيءَ غيرُهُ

تبارَكَ رَبّي ذو العلي أنْ أُصمِّمَا
Indeed, I almost—were it not for God, nothing besides Him—
Had I not Allah, save Him naught else exists,
blessed is my Lord, possessor of sublimity—pressed on resolutely.
Blessed be my Lord, the Sublime, that I am steadfast.

وقَدْ قال فيه ذو المقال فَأَحكما
Yet I reflected on forbearance and reason,
But I have seen in dreams both wisdom and reproof,
and the speaker had spoken of it, and so spoken soundly.
And the wise man has spoken with wisdom on this matter.
