طلعتْ والظلامُ يحسدهُ الصبحُ فخل
ناwe (subject suffix) فيon الأرضِthe earth شمسَthe sun of السماءِheaven
نا في الأرضِ شمسَ السماءِ
She rose, while dawn envied the darkness; so we thought
She rose while the darkness envied the dawn, so it left
heaven’s sun was upon the earth.
The sun of the sky to shine on the earth,
ورأتْand she saw أكبدَlivers (figuratively, hearts) الورىhumankind فيin ثراهاher dust
ورأتْ أكبدَ الورى في ثراها

فمشتْ من دلالها في الهواءِ
And she saw humankind’s hearts in the dust beneath her,
And she saw the livers of mankind in its expanse,
so, in her coyness, she walked in the air.
So she walked proudly through the air.
