عندي عليهِ فلستُ ذا وجدِ
O you who think I have withheld what
O you who think I'm being stingy with what
I possess from you—for I am not a man of means.
I have for him, I'm not like that at all
كفاكَsuffices you بالنفسِwith the soul وحدهاit alone هبةas a gift
كفاكَ بالنفسِ وحدها هبة
فإنfor indeed نفسيmy soul أعزُّmost precious ماwhat عنديI possess
فإن نفسي أعزُّ ما عندي
My soul alone is gift enough for you,
The soul alone is gift enough for you
For my soul is the dearest thing I possess.
For my soul is the most precious thing I own
